For over 37 years, Jeff Lubin has been a trailblazer in the world of portrait photography, serving the Washington, D.C., area with unmatched artistry and expertise. His distinguished clientele includes iconic figures such as actress Lynda Carter, sports legends Cal Ripken and Ryan Zimmerman, and influential leaders like Robert and Sheila Johnson.

Jeff's path to success began with humble roots, leaving high school at 17 to join the U.S. Navy before working the late shift at Howard Johnson's. He later returned to school, earning his diploma and attending college on the GI Bill, which paved the way for his self-taught exploration of photography. His dedication to mastering his craft culminated in the launch of his home studio, which later grew into one of the most recognized names in high-end portraiture.

In 1992, Jeff earned the prestigious Master of Photography Degree from the Professional Photographers of America, followed by the Craftsman Degree the next year. His work has garnered numerous awards, including the Grand Photographic Award from the Virginia Professional Photographers Association and twice being named Portrait Photographer of the Year by Maryland Professional Photographers.

In 2017, The Lubin Studio received the honor of creating seven commissioned portraits for the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, a testament to the enduring legacy of his artistry.

Beyond his professional accolades, Jeff's journey has been deeply personal. Inspired by mentors like Monte Zucker and Charles Lewis, Jeff developed a unique approach to classical portraiture, blending skillful lighting, compelling poses, and emotive expressions to create timeless heirlooms. His commitment to giving back includes mentoring budding photographers and raising over $100,000 for the Lombardi Cancer Center after his youngest son's victorious battle with cancer.
